OUR PRODUCTS

It is said that the secret of great style is to feel good in what you wear, then, “why not to wear something healthy & pure”. Clothing is one of the basic needs of human & Shri Arohan is fortunate to get an opportunity to serve the human with the most eco friendly fabric. A fabric that is through & through organic & weaved on sustainable energy. The cotton fabric manufactured is completely chemical free.

Chemical free in the sense that the cotton used for making the yarn is selected & taken from organic farms. Organic farming is the cultivation of land and producing crops while maintaining the health of the soil by using available organic animal and plant waste and other biological materials in synergy with beneficial microorganisms for releasing nutrients to the crops. It relies on fertilizers of organic origin such as compost manure, green manure, and bone meal and places emphasis on techniques such as crop rotation and companion planting. Biological pest control, mixed cropping and the fostering of insect predators are encouraged. In general, organic standards are designed to allow the use of naturally occurring substances while prohibiting or strictly limiting synthetic substances.

For the manufacturing of the yarn the raw cotton undergoes a sequence of processes. Beginning with a dense package of tangled fibres (cotton bale) containing varying amounts of non-lint materials and unusable fibre (foreign matter, plant trash, motes and so on), continuous operations of opening, blending, mixing, cleaning, carding, drawing, roving and spinning are performed to transform the cotton fibres into yarn. This ready organic cotton yarn is certified by the Government under the GOTS Certificate (Global Organic Textile Standard). Thus, the yarn purchased by Shri Arohan for weaving is a GOTS certified yarn 100 % certified organic yarn.

The yarn comes in the cone & the hank form. The winding & warping process is done in Shri Arohan. And thus, the cotton fabric is weaved in the harmonious movement of warp & weft on the power looms that are converted on 100% solar energy.

The organic fabric is further enhanced to be the end product by undergoing through different processes. To add to its beauty, it is dyed in the natural colours.
